The »bidding war« ended at CHF 9,987.50 (€ 6,566.13), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Edmund Bille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue de Miège, 1907 in October 2017 with an auction result of CHF 32,500.00 (€ 27,991.07).

Die Arbeit Bauernfrau in Chandolin, 1937 von Edmund Bille wurde im Dezember 2000 in der Auktion SWISS SALE bei Christies in Genf versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CHF 9.987,50 (€ 6.566,13) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edmund Bille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vue de Miège, 1907 im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 32.500,00 (€ 27.991,07).
