Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bradley's Farmhouse, Co. Kerry by Edith Oenone Somerville was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,324.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Edith Oenone Somerville have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2004 the work Upper lake, Killarney was auctioned for GBP 1,314.50 (€ 1,986.50).
