Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Riders in a Western Landscape sight 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. framed 19 3/4 x 19 3/4 in. by Edgar Alwin Payne was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,328.00 (€ 3,050.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,400.00 – 3,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Alwin Payne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Mesa, Monument Valley, Utah in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 185,637.20).
