Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction California Art, which included the work Sierra Vastness (No. 9) by Edgar Alwin Payne. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,214.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Alwin Payne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Mesa, Monument Valley, Utah in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 185,637.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sierra Vastness (No. 9) von Edgar Alwin Payne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.214,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Alwin Payne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Mesa, Monument Valley, Utah im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.000,00 (€ 185.637,20).
