This price was achieved in the auction Handpicked: 50 Works Selected by the Saatchi Gallery at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fragile in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 119,700.00 (€ 137,689.83).
