In October 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Influence by Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 50,000.00 (€ 57,996.41), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fragile, which sold at auction in April 2021 for GBP 119,700.00 (€ 137,689.83).

Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Influence von Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 57.996,41) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fragile beobachtet, die im April 2021 für GBP 119.700,00 (€ 137.689,83) versteigert wurde.
