The work Ascending by Emmanuel L. Cordova was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Singapore in April 2007. The »bidding war« ended at SGD 9,600.00 (€ 4,624.30), 37% above the upper estimate. Other works by Emmanuel L. Cordova have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,150.79) in April 2008 for the work Their Highness.
