This artwork by E. Brown achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2004. In the Sporting Art and Dogs auction, the work A chestnut hunter in a landscape sold for GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,691.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by E. Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forrester, a hound in a landscape with a hunt beyond; and Rutland, a hound in a landscape with a hunt beyond, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,284.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von E. Brown erzielte im Juni 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs wurde die Arbeit A chestnut hunter in a landscape für GBP 3.824,00 (€ 5.691,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von E. Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forrester, a hound in a landscape with a hunt beyond; and Rutland, a hound in a landscape with a hunt beyond beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 17.284,42) versteigert wurde.
