The work Rhino by Dylan Lewis was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,446.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dylan Lewis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Walking Cheetahs in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 301,000.00 (€ 204,929.19).

Die Arbeit Rhino von Dylan Lewis wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.446,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dylan Lewis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Walking Cheetahs im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 301.000,00 (€ 204.929,19).
