Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thorn Birds by Duncan Shanks was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2016. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,734.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Duncan Shanks have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2001 the work Plum Tree, Early Winter was auctioned for GBP 4,935.00 (€ 7,853.14).
