It achieved a price of EUR 3,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dullah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barong Dance in Bali in November this year with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 325,280.53).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a Woman; Portrait of a Man von Dullah wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dullah erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barong Dance in Bali im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 325.280,53).
