In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Portrait of a Balinese lady by Dullah. The auction ended at the price of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,472.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dullah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Barong Dance in Bali in November this year with an auction result of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 325,280.53).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Balinese lady von Dullah zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.472,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dullah erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Barong Dance in Bali im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 325.280,53).
