The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,132.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Driss Ouadahi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work Another Way was auctioned for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,478.13).

Die Arbeit Moonlight von Driss Ouadahi wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.132,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
