A Survey of Figurative Art | ONLINE ONLY auction, the work without title sold for EUR 895.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 400.00. Admittedly, works by Douglas Swan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work »Air Mini« in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 6,450.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Douglas Swan erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei VAN HAM in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sensual to Radical. A Survey of Figurative Art | ONLINE ONLY wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 895,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Douglas Swan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit »Air Mini« im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.450,00.
