The work Abstract, North Sea by Douglas Swan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,917.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Douglas Swan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot »Air Mini« sold at auction in May 2014 with the realized price of EUR 6,450.00.

Die Arbeit Abstract, North Sea von Douglas Swan kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.917,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Douglas Swan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit »Air Mini« im Mai 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 6.450,00.
