In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction VICTORIAN & TRADITIONALIST PICTURES, which included the work Gunhills, Windley by Douglas Percy Bliss. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,051.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Gunhills, Windley is the most expensive artwork by Douglas Percy Bliss that we have observed at auctions so far.
