Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Toucans, 1938 by Dorrit Black was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. The price achieved of AUD 4,674.00 (€ 2,789.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dorrit Black achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Music, 1927-28 in November 2018 with an auction result of AUD 91,500.00 (€ 80,808.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Toucans, 1938 von Dorrit Black kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.674,00 (€ 2.789,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dorrit Black erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Music, 1927-28 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 91.500,00 (€ 80.808,97).
