Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alfred Stieglitz XII, NYC by Dorothy Norman was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,803.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dorothy Norman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Clouds in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 7,170.00 (€ 7,964.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alfred Stieglitz XII, NYC von Dorothy Norman kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.803,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dorothy Norman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Clouds im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.170,00 (€ 7.964,90).
