A top price for Doris McCarthy - as previously expected
The work Iceberg Fantasy #28 by Doris McCarthy was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. The auction ended at the price of CAD 30,000.00 (€ 21,540.07), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of CAD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Iceberg Fantasy #28 is the most expensive artwork by Doris McCarthy that we have observed at auctions so far.
