Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The Spanish Guitarist; Lady with a book; Lady with a flower; and Children Making Sandcastles by Dora Holzhandler. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,330.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dora Holzhandler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young lovers, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,966.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Spanish Guitarist; Lady with a book; Lady with a flower; and Children Making Sandcastles von Dora Holzhandler zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.330,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dora Holzhandler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young lovers beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.966,97) versteigert wurde.
