Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dora Holzhandler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September last year. In the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction, the work Autumn Lovers sold for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,627.68) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dora Holzhandler; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Young lovers sold at auction in August 2007 with the realized price of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,966.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dora Holzhandler erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Blazing a TrailModern British Women wurde die Arbeit Autumn Lovers für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.627,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Dora Holzhandler; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Young lovers im August 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.966,97).
