Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paesaggio con paese in lontananza by Donato Frisia was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 450.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donato Frisia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venezia Al Ponte di Rialto in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 5,952.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paesaggio con paese in lontananza von Donato Frisia im Mai 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 450,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 400,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donato Frisia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venezia Al Ponte di Rialto im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.952,00.
