In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings, which included the work The sleeping Endymion by Donato Creti. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,680.00 (€ 18,689.74), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donato Creti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sibyl in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,095,000.00 (€ 896,732.45).

Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The sleeping Endymion von Donato Creti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 18.689,74) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donato Creti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Sibyl im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.095.000,00 (€ 896.732,45).
