Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work Head And Shoulders Study Of A Young Man Wearing A Fur Hat by Donato Creti. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,974.04). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donato Creti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Sibyl in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,095,000.00 (€ 896,732.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head And Shoulders Study Of A Young Man Wearing A Fur Hat von Donato Creti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.974,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donato Creti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Sibyl im Februar 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.095.000,00 (€ 896.732,45).
