Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Alexander cutting the Gordian Knot by Donato Creti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 410,500.00 (€ 487,762.80), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Donato Creti have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,095,000.00 (€ 896,732.45) in February 2018 for the work A Sibyl.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alexander cutting the Gordian Knot von Donato Creti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 410.500,00 (€ 487.762,80) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Donato Creti haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.095.000,00 (€ 896.732,45) im Februar 2018 für die Arbeit A Sibyl beobachtet.
