Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Il Ponte held the auction 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures, which included the work Il vincitore by Donato Barcaglia. The price achieved of EUR 900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donato Barcaglia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amore Accieca (Love Blinded) in May 2004 with an auction result of AUD 167,300.00 (€ 97,748.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion 19th and 20th century Paintings and Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il vincitore von Donato Barcaglia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donato Barcaglia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amore Accieca (Love Blinded) im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 167.300,00 (€ 97.748,01).
