The work Benwee Head Iii by Donald Teskey was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,565.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Donald Teskey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coastal Landscape in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 35,183.61).
