In February this year Bonhams held the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Four Mexican Women in an Interior by Donald Putman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 765.00 (€ 721.56), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Putman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Indian Hunting Party in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,861.64).

Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Mexican Women in an Interior von Donald Putman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 721,56) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Putman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Indian Hunting Party im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.861,64).
