Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Building Steam No. 243. by Donald Lipski for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,256.35). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald Lipski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, No.161, which sold at auction in 2009 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,462.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Building Steam No. 243. von Donald Lipski für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.256,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald Lipski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, No.161 beobachtet, die im 2009 für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.462,33) versteigert wurde.
