Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Donald Lipski could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online auction, the work Water Lillies #5 changed hands for USD 140.25 (€ 126.43) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Donald Lipski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, No.161 in 2009 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,462.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Donald Lipski konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Water Lillies #5 für USD 140,25 (€ 126,43) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Donald Lipski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, No.161 im 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.462,33).
