Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Poseidon by Donald De Lue was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,866.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald De Lue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cosmic Head, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,335.66).

Die Arbeit Poseidon von Donald De Lue kam im September 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.866,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald De Lue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cosmic Head beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.335,66) versteigert wurde.
