Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Croissant by Don Nice for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,091.13). This price was achieved in the auction A Life of Discovery: Works from The Allan Stone Collection | Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Don Nice - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Camels, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,827.93).
