This work of art by Don Freeman could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work The Barber Shop changed hands for USD 765.00 (€ 721.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Don Freeman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dance Rehersal in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 14,100.00 (€ 15,740.12).

In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wechselte die Arbeit The Barber Shop für USD 765,00 (€ 721,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Don Freeman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dance Rehersal im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.100,00 (€ 15.740,12).
