Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Elegant figures on deck by Charles-Dominique Fouqueray. The price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,208.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles-Dominique Fouqueray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A View of the North-Western Facade of Yeni Cami situated along the Golden Horn with the Dome and Minarettes of Hagia Sophia behind, Constantinople in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 69,600.00 (€ 54,489.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegant figures on deck von Charles-Dominique Fouqueray zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.208,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Dominique Fouqueray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A View of the North-Western Facade of Yeni Cami situated along the Golden Horn with the Dome and Minarettes of Hagia Sophia behind, Constantinople im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.600,00 (€ 54.489,94).
