Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Vintage posters, which included the work See Britain First On Shell, Cheddar Gorge by Charles-Dominique Fouqueray. The price achieved of EUR 637.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Dominique Fouqueray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of the North-Western Facade of Yeni Cami situated along the Golden Horn with the Dome and Minarettes of Hagia Sophia behind, Constantinople in October 2006 with an auction result of USD 69,600.00 (€ 54,489.94).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of the North-Western Facade of Yeni Cami situated along the Golden Horn with the Dome and Minarettes of Hagia Sophia behind, Constantinople im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.600,00 (€ 54.489,94).
