Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Triumph Of David by Domenico Robusti was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 158,500.00 (€ 121,428.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Robusti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length, which sold at auction in December 2016 for GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Triumph Of David von Domenico Robusti wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 158.500,00 (€ 121.428,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Robusti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für GBP 341.000,00 (€ 398.684,33) versteigert wurde.
