Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domenico Robusti could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Study Of A Nude Woman changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,122.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
