Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Saint Francis Receiving The Stigmata by Domenico Robusti was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,693.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Saint Francis Receiving The Stigmata von Domenico Robusti im April 2008 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.693,01) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Robusti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 341.000,00 (€ 398.684,33).
