Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Young Nobleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Brocaded Black Doublet, White Slashed Shirt And Ruff, With A Sword, Resting His Hand On Books In An Interior by Domenico Robusti was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 81,689.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Robusti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Nobleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Brocaded Black Doublet, White Slashed Shirt And Ruff, With A Sword, Resting His Hand On Books In An Interior von Domenico Robusti wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 81.689,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Robusti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 341.000,00 (€ 398.684,33).
