The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 81,689.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Robusti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
