Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Classical Ruins With Figures by Domenico Roberti. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,111.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Roberti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capricci Of Roman Ruins With Soldiers And Merchants Conversing, The Colosseum And A Rocky Bay Beyond; A Coastal Landscape With Shepherds And Elegant Figures Amongst Ruins in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 151,250.00 (€ 175,449.54).

Im Januar 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Classical Ruins With Figures von Domenico Roberti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.111,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Roberti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capricci Of Roman Ruins With Soldiers And Merchants Conversing, The Colosseum And A Rocky Bay Beyond; A Coastal Landscape With Shepherds And Elegant Figures Amongst Ruins im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 151.250,00 (€ 175.449,54).
