Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Virgin Immaculate in Glory by Domenico Mondo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,634.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Mondo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Triumph Of Hercules, which sold at auction in April 2013 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.634,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
