Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings, which included the work The Adoration of the Shepherds by Domenico Mondo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,528.00 (€ 2,907.29), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Domenico Mondo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Triumph Of Hercules in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration of the Shepherds von Domenico Mondo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 2.907,29) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Mondo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Triumph Of Hercules im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.800,58).
