Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domenico Mondo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Portrait Of Maria Cavalcanti Ametrano (Before 1732-1764), Duchess Of San Donato changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,846.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Mondo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Triumph Of Hercules, which sold at auction in April 2013 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,800.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
