In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work The Apotheosis of Romulus: design for a ceiling decoration by Domenico Maria Canuti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,316.93), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Maria Canuti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alexander and Bucephalus, which sold at auction in July 2017 for GBP 75,000.00 (€ 83,688.48).

Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Apotheosis of Romulus: design for a ceiling decoration von Domenico Maria Canuti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.316,93) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Domenico Maria Canuti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alexander and Bucephalus beobachtet, die im Juli 2017 für GBP 75.000,00 (€ 83.688,48) versteigert wurde.
