In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings, which included the work Cosimo I de' Medici Elected Duke of Tuscany by the Florentine Senate by Domenico Cresti. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,940.00 (€ 19,728.06), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Cresti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathers At San Niccolo in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 732,500.00 (€ 678,617.75).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 19.728,06) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Cresti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathers At San Niccolo im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 732.500,00 (€ 678.617,75).
