Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An extensive landscape with shepherds and their flocks below a town by Domenico Campagnola was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2005. The price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,816.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Campagnola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ in the house of Simon the Pharisee in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 144,000.00 (€ 110,353.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An extensive landscape with shepherds and their flocks below a town von Domenico Campagnola wurde im Januar 2005 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert.
