In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian Brotherly Kiss, 1993-2000 by Dmitry Vrubel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,000.00 (€ 33,401.85), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by Dmitry Vrubel have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 45,000.00 (€ 54,151.48) in November 2013 for the work Fraternal Kiss (Triptych).
