Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River landscape with bridge by Dirk Nijland was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2000. The price achieved of NLG 1,287.22 (€ 547.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk Nijland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Netten bij Laag Water in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 6,572.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit River landscape with bridge von Dirk Nijland wurde im März 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.287,22 (€ 547,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirk Nijland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Netten bij Laag Water im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.572,50.
