Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work A seascape with two seagulls by Dirk Nijland for EUR 1,792.50. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirk Nijland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Netten bij Laag Water, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 6,572.50.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A seascape with two seagulls von Dirk Nijland für EUR 1.792,50 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirk Nijland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Netten bij Laag Water beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 6.572,50 versteigert wurde.
