Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Granida And Daifilo by Dirck van Baburen. The price achieved of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 573,307.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirck van Baburen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Opfergabe an Ceres. Um 1621., which sold at auction in September last year for CHF 1,408,300.00 (€ 1,462,138.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Granida And Daifilo von Dirck van Baburen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 573.307,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirck van Baburen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Opfergabe an Ceres. Um 1621. beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für CHF 1.408.300,00 (€ 1.462.138,72) versteigert wurde.
